ABOUT
Centre for Cryogenic Technology (CCT) came into existence as Central Cryogenic Facility (CCF) in the year 1971 as a centre dedicated to research in core cryogenic technology and allied sciences / engineering. The Centre promotes and supports research dedicated to fields across sciences and engineering. This includes, cryogenic systems, cryocoolers, cryogenic instrumentation, cryo-electron microscopy & imaging, super-conductivity, nano-biophysics, condensed matter physics, cryobiology, cryogenic materials, space science & engineering. Over the last three decades, the Centre has collaborated across the science and engineering department, space missions and has a very active industrial collaboration.
In the coming decades, the Centre looks forward to have a vibrant academic and industrial environment. The Centre will foster research in the emerging disciplines and promote new science at the interface of Cryogenics, Science and Engineering.
